Nissan to recall 800,000+ cars

Due to a faulty steering wheel in Nissan's Micra models manufactured between 2002-2006, the manufacturer has announced a recall of more than 800,000 cars.

Nissan urged that there was not a sudden a danger to the affected vehicles, but that one of the bolts in the wheel had not been screwed on properly.

At this time, the fault has caused no reported incidences however Nissan have commented that drivers would feel the steering wheel become looser over time.

A Nissan Motor GB spokesman commented: "Over time, the nut that holds on the steering wheel can become loose. Drivers could start notice some wobbling of the wheel and if this is ignored there is the possibility that it could come completely off."

This comes at a bad time for Nissan who earlier in the year had to recall 500,000 vehicles due to an airbag fault.

2013 Maserati Ghibli unveiled (Pictures)

If you can forgive the name sounding like a throwaway from a Tolkein book and if you don't have images of the old style Maserati Ghibli released back in 1967 stuck in your head, at the recent Shanghai Motor Show, Maserati unveiled the rebirth of it's iconic Ghibli model, and it's beautiful.

Take some time to peruse the photos of the executive four-door saloon with coupĂ© overtones below. The production-ready Ghibli directly targets the Jaguar XF and Mercedes CLS. It will even be available with a V6 diesel – the first Maserati to do so – as it attempts to help Maserati go from exotic bit-player (the marque only sold about 6,200 cars in 2012), to Porsche-style volume, with 50,000 annual sales in its sights within five years.,

We cannot wait to see this beauiful car in action next year, and we're already saving up to meet that £60,000 asking price. What are your thoughts on the new model? We'd love to hear from you.
